Hello, I’m Jason Scott. I don’t want to bore you with many personal details, so I’ll just mention a few. I’m 28 years old and I love reading, playing guitar, listening to music, playing games, watching sports and travelling around the world.
I’ve been involved in the internet industry for several years, making a living by building and managing web projects, initially for others and now (mainly) for myself. I’ve learned a lot in the process and I want to share this knowledge with you. myPassiveIncomeIdeas is a blog that investigates ways to build a passive income over the internet. It contains ideas, tips and tools about blogging, internet & affiliate marketing, niche sites and many more.
Why did I create this blog?
Two of my biggest passions are to build new projects and to share my knowledge. In this blog, I aim to produce great content by sharing any knowledge I’ve have gathered from all the years I’m building passive income streams (and from everything I’ve read but not implemented yet). I’m also going to help you create your own, by sharing useful technical information (such as how to build a blog, an e-book etc) that even first-timers can use.
It’s also a blogging case study
This blog will act as a blogging case study. Although I can use several websites and mailing lists that I have already built to generate backlinks and boost its promotion (a well-known strategy), I won’t. I will not use any type of paid advertisement either.
Of course, I won’t buy Facebook friends or Twitter followers, which I consider a very bad strategy and I’m not using it in any of my projects anyway. I didn’t even follow or like the blog’s social profiles myself, since another good strategy (that, again, I will not use) is to have your friends and associates promote your project to their own websites, social profiles etc. and I don’t want that to happen in this case.
To this end, Jason Scott is not my real name, but merely a pseudonym that I’m going to use in this blog, mainly because I like my projects to be more personal. That doesn’t matter though, since any other information in this blog is absolutely true and that is what you should care about!
It’s very interesting to test how long will it take to the blog to be promoted, ranked high in search engines and gather a high amount of subscribers by using less aggressive methods and by producing valuable content.
I will document and present all the methods that I’m going to use in future posts so every one of you can use them in your own projects. I hope that this approach will help you get new ideas on the subject. Also, I believe that it’s going to be especially interesting for “newbies” (I don’t like the term but couldn’t find a better one) in the field that they don’t have already established sites/projects to promote their new ones or they don’t want to invest a high amount of money to be used in paid advertising.
Be updated!
I would suggest that you subscribe to the RSS feeds or to the mailing list (I will never spam you or share your e-mail with anyone else) to receive the new content posted in this blog. You can also keep in touch (and receive updates) via Twitter or Facebook.
I hope you enjoy my passive income ideas and my other tales!
